Lynne & Harlan Curtis line dance
at Montana's in San Diemas, CA every Thursday nite. What an adorable couple!
Visit Harlan on Facebook or his webiste at: www.harlancurtis.com Red Bandana is a San Francisco Bay Area favorite. I will be one of 40+ CA dancers dancin' & wavin' custom bandanas in the 'talent' show as we perform this dance on board the Radiance of the Seas Oct 5-15, 2005. I LOVE singing along with Red Bandana: It is among my favorite dances right now ...but then U knew that! The lyrics ... We left home when we was barely past eleven-teen. Been back and fourth and all around through hell and rain. I've loved you half your life and Ill keep on loving you, yeah, but I can't change and live the way you want me to. We spent a lot of time out on the highway. Coming from some town we played along the way. After thirty years and knowing me the way you do, you know I can't change and live the way you want me to. That red bandana tied around her auburn hair, she looks like she ought to be somebody's wife somewhere. Ain't never going to be no Bobby Mcgee but she's trying to. I can't change and live the way she wants me to. Every time she leaves the stage I know she's had her fill and I wonder why she grew up and why I never will. But I'm forty-one today still going on twenty-two. I can't change and live the way she wants me to. That red bandana tied around her auburn hair, she looks like she ought to be somebody's wife somewhere. She ain't never going to be no Bobby Mcgee but she's trying to. I can't change and live the way she wants me to. We can't change and live the way she wants us to. |
Alice's dancers had a hat decorating Saturday
afternoon and an evening out at Cactus
Corners. The whole dance hall could tell that Red
Bandana (Harlan Curtis) was their favorite. A nice smilin' surprise for
those of us dancing at the front ...at the wall change ...everyone enjoyed their
flying bandanas as they danced to this country two-steppin' music. I enjoy singin'
the lyrics but these ladies take the dance to the FUN level. A
couple from the UK visiting the bay
area were dancing here tonight. They had just learned Soluna
(R McGowan Hickie) before leaving
on holiday and were thrilled to dance it here with us as well as Caught
in the Act (Ann Wood) which is
also popular on their home dance floor. They were on the floor for Black
Horse (Kate Sala) taught byTrish Boesel, the guest DJ. They thought it too
cool to go across the 'pond' and be learning the 'same' hot dances. EVERY venue
has local standards but it is IMPORTANT that we learn the hot new dances from
around the world dance community ...line dance is evolving and growing because
we enjoy dancing to a variety of music AND because
The Internet is a great tool for sharing dance sheets, music and video clips.
