This 24/4 EASY Cha is perfect to MANY dances ...I personally like it to Pretty Good At Drinkin' Beer by Billy Currington ...no tags no restarts, just sing along and enjoy the music. The lyrics, So cool. ~Doris

I started line dancing back in 1998 with Frankie "Bubba" Jones at the Cotton Eyed Joe, a country western night club up in Knoxville, TN. I knew the Electric Slide - but was hooked when I saw all the other dances that where being done. We started going Governor's Lounge and Electric Cowboy in Chattanooga, TN which was offering line dance lessons with Windy McPherson. The first line dances I learned were Doubletime Chesterfield and Uno Dos Tres. After a few years of going to line dance workshops and doing research online for dances, I started to teach myself dances that where not being taught to me, but were popular at that time.
In 2000 I tried my first attempt at choreography ...Rascal Shuffle a 40 count, 4 wall line dance, done to Some Say by Rascal flatts. I shared this with my dance instructer at the time and she liked so much that she taught it at one of our nights of lessons, It wasn't a big hit, but our dance group liked it.
In 2001, I was offered a teaching gig at Shirley's Dance Club, in Chattanooga, TN - where I taught for several years, teaching some of my choreogaphy and the dancers enjoyed them, making them minor hits locally - Friday Night Boogie (2001), All Around Shuffle and Shotgun (2002), and a few others.
I moved to San diego, CA in 2003. My friend is from San Diego, and she took me to a placed called Mulvaey's Bar in Santee, CA (now called Wagon Wheel). We started taking lessons there - by a group called San Diego 'N' Line Dancers. I wasn't teaching then, but was still creating dances. No Troubles (2003) was a minor hit in Canada. I gave that dance to the instructor at Mulvaney's - nothing came of it there, but I was happy that some of my dances were getting attention.  Kool Cowboy (2003) was a dance competition in Summer of 2004.
In fall of 2007 I moved back to Chattanooga, TN and started dancing with the dancers I started with.
I gave some of my newer dances to the instructor there and they went over pretty well - Candy Coated Misery (2009), She Wolf (2009), and, of course, Quarter After One (2009).
I also was dancing at another dance club, where I had the chance to teach - Gotta Be Somebody (2008) and the few others I have mentioned.
I was quite thrilled when I found out Quarter After One was a big hit all over the world, and still am. So I have been dancing for a bit over 10 years and creating dances when I can. I love to dance and although I'm no professional by all means, I'm happy with what I do.
I've created close to 200 dances thoughout my years and will continue to do so as long as line dancing stays around. I currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama. All my dances can be found on kickit and some on Linedancer magazine as well as various other websites.
Quarter After One (2009) and Space Cowboy (2010) are being considered for publication in Linedancer magazine - I'm happy about that. I don't have a website just yet, but plan on doing one in the future.
If you check out www.crystalbootslinedanceclub.com ...these are the dancers that I dance with at times and teach there on occasion.

Quarter After One was published 15 October 2009. I saw it on the dance floor at Ft. Wayne, IN at the 2010 March Dance For All ...
(Just before 10 AM on Saturday ...we were greeted with "It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now..I'm a little drunk and I need you now" ...open dancin' begain with Quarter After One (Levy J. Hubbard). I've heard this music multiple times now ...Quarter After One is a hit here for sure. Many just picking it up off the floor. Alice Daugherty taught it yesterday at 3PM) ...
I taught it to my classes in March & it became an instant hit on the weekend social floors here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It remains on the weekend playlists September 2010.

Maurice Rowe taught Quarter After One at 2010 JG Marathon in June.

By July, 2010 Quarter After One was placing # 3 in the top 20 of the weekly world survey and remains one of the top 3 intermediate dances in that survey.
