Fremont, CA Choreographer *Ganean de La Grange wrote All My Ex's Live in Texas ~ 1993 (Bay Area Classic) & Jazzy Joe's ~ 1999.
Ganean has a Swiss Park Connection. Notice the full title of the dance. A 2008 video link that shows the correct footwork!

Pine Grove, CA Choreographer *Rick Bowen wrote Boot Scooters Boogie ~ 1993 (contra dance). Rick Bowen has a Swiss Park Connection.

Here is a 2012 youtube made at the Stockton Rod & Gun Club in Stockton, Ca for Rick Bowen's Boot Scooters Boogie.

Beginnings of BnB Club email from *Neil Hale:
Yes, my good friends, Charles (CW) Parker, Rick Bowen, and Mary Hendrix along with myself and maybe about a dozen or so others (*Charlotte Skeeters) sat together at Swiss Park one evening in the early 80's (over 30 years now) to found the club. We were only able to do this because CW talked the Swiss Park people into allowing us to use the Swiss Park venue, initially at no charge. We had been dancing at the South 40, but not really organized as a club, rather a loosely gathered group. The environment there was deplorable -it was a smoked filled bar with a very small floor and a staff and clientele that hated line dancers. To my knowledge, a good number of the original members and most of our beloved staff of instructors and helpers have passed away.
God bless original members and staff, Rick Bowen, Paul Sorenson, Mary Hendrix, Harry Bisset and instructors Connie Siva and (I believe) *Ganean de La Grange who are no longer with us. I have not heard anything of CW Parker since he left for back East many years ago. I imagine he would be quite elderly. (received in email from Neil Hale July 9, 2014)

note: *Neil Hale wrote Cruisin' in 1989 & Hot Tamales in 1993 and debuted them on the Swiss Park Stage. Neil and Charlotte began teaching line dance classes on Monday and Wednesday nites ~1984. Neil retired from teaching the twice weekly classes in 1998.

*Charlotte Skeeters' returned to the Swiss Park Stage (July 25th BnB 30th Birthday Celebration) to teach Voila (March 1999). Voila & Mama's Lil' Baby (on the BnB Celebration playlist) were on the Spring 1999 LineDanceFun top 20. On July 25th, DJs Evelyn & Denny also played Charlotte's Hasta Manana, Just Bob (dance card), River of Dreams and Begin The Beguine. (Links are to original signed step description sheets published on LineDanceFun.com back in their day.) Charlotte submitted Begin The Beguine to Don Deyne's The Information Super Dance Floor for publication w/a link to her LineDanceFun choreographer page (contains 'archived link' information for her October 2000 teaches.)
By request, Charlotte retaught Begin The Beguine in 2002 in her Swiss Park Monday class & Voila in her 2001 Thursday class.

*Fremont, CA Choreographer Ganean de La Grange wrote All My Ex's Live in Texas ~ 1993 (Bay Area Classic pre 1995) and Jazzy Joe's ~ 1999.

The 2005 fund raiser/workshop marked BnB's 20th year anniversary of continuous dancing @ Swiss Park.

80+ at The Complex in Belmont (new home dance floor for CQS) for Instructor/DJ appreciation nite w/DJ Jamie - July 19
63 at BnB w/DJ Gary in Fremont (MaryAnn's instructor appreciation nite) on July 18

~70 filled the Fremont Ballroom w/Amy & Friends July Social. Amy taught Leave Me (Cathy Dacumos) to 50+, the rest of us already knew it.
No Goodbyes (Scott Blevins/Nicola Lafferty) was the newest floor filler that caught my eye. It will be a Thursday teach.

~80 filled the Barrett Hall on July 5 to DANCE w/DJ Millie. 60+ jammed the floor for Cruisin', Prairie Strut, Hurricane & Ain't Goin' Nowhere. The 'rocket science' dances not so much, but those on the floor were havin' FUN at the Quick Stepper Saturday nite in Belmont. I didn't see anything 'new' I wanted to teach, BUT Anni (CQS President) announced that Cathy Dacumos will be teaching Leave Me @ the July 6th First Sunday dance in San Bruno w/Tina and Jeanette. Leave Me is a Monday class and will be on the 2nd Saturday playlist.

I am one of the luckiest line dance teachers in the WORLD. A Thursday student wanted to know 'what is the hottest dance at the moment?' 5 clarification questions later; My answer is AK Freak (64/2 no tag, no restart.) Suicide Waltz (96/2 w/3 restarts/tag) is a Thursday class HIT. But not everyone wants to teach/learn that level of dance. Neither will go mainstream in the S F Bay Area, but BOTH will be must knows for 2014 Events. New York 2 LA & Get It Bae are Monday HITS. I can see them LOVING AK Freak. I am so LUCKY!
